Tiger Balm is a topical analgesic range primarily for temporary relief of muscle aches. The signature blend of essential oils based on oriental wisdom can be traced back to the 1870’s. A Chinese person living in Rangoon developed a balm made from essential oils using an ancient formulation originally developed for Chinese emperors. He sold it from his shop in Rangoon and after his death one of his two sons began selling the product in Malaysia and Singapore. During the 1920’s, his sons established a manufacturing base in Singapore and named the product Tiger Balm after the symbol of strength and vitality, the Tiger. Today, Tiger Balm is sold in more than 100 countries and used by millions of people. The range includes Tiger Balm Red ointment*, Tiger Balm White ointment*, Tiger Balm Oil* and Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub**.
