About stomach ache
Stomach ache is a common condition that most of us have suffered from. According to The Gut Foundation, research shows that 30% of Australian adults suffer stomach aches and cramps every few months or more.* Stomach ache has many causes, can be unpredictable and often occurs at an inconvenient time.
Digestion of food is controlled by the brain and messages are sent to the digestive system via the nervous system. Depending on the information that the brain receives, it may instruct the muscles in the bowels to contract and this may cause stomach ache.
